Spatial Narratives of Revolt: Public Performance During Anti-Nuclear Protests in Tokyo

Through mapping events into spatial systems and maps, the project determined the sequence, systems and dynamics of these protests and their ability to capitalize on the physical and political characteristics of the space within which they take place. The research developed an innovative approach to study mass protest through mapping its spatial actions through activities such as sequences of events and movement against social, political or economic situations, as a language of power and resistance (action and reaction), whose management could be linked to the success or failure of the protest in reaching its objectives.
