The MAVIS project (full title “Making visualization scalable for explaining machine learning classification models”) aims to answer the key questions “how to improve visualizations?” and “how should people interact?” for the large/complex data that is commonplace in explainable AI. The team is very cross-disciplinary, including experts in visualization, machine learning, statistics, user evaluation and graphic design who are all part of the Leeds Institute for Data Analytics.
