Success for Engineering staff at Partnership Awards
Three members of staff from the Faculty of Engineering have won their category at the 2015 University of Leeds Partnership Awards, hosted by Leeds University Union.
Dr Duncan Borman, from the School of Civil Engineering, won the Innovation Award for using novel and innovative ways to engage and excite others. David Richardson, also from Civil Engineering won the Feedback Award for providing invaluable, supportive, feedback; helping others to develop and excel in their work.
Professor Martin Levesley, from the School of Mechanical Engineering, was honoured with the Partnership Award. This special award recognises those who are dedicated beyond measure to improving the experiences and wellbeing of others, and who consistently strive to make University of Leeds the best it can be.
The Awards celebrate the fantastic achievements of both students and staff by rewarding the behaviours and contributions reflected in The Partnership, an agreement created by University members three years ago.
In total, eight students and staff from the Faculty of Engineering were shortlisted for the 2015 Leeds Awards, from a record breaking total of 1193 nominations.

Peter Jimack, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, said “I would like to congratulate all of the people shortlisted for the awards, their fantastic contributions play a vital role in the success of both our Faculty and the University. The Awards are part of Celebrate Week 2015, which gives the University the opportunity to share the very best of what staff and students at Leeds have achieved over the last twelve months.
