Our dedicated Employability Team will support and guide you throughout your studies, and provide advice when you’re looking for an industrial placement or internship.

You’ll also benefit from:

• timetabled employability sessions
• ongoing support to find internships and placements
• presentations and workshops delivered by employers

Every year our Employability Team organises a STEM Careers Fair, which will give you the opportunity to meet a number of graduate recruiters to gain an insight into graduate jobs and to explore work experience and internship opportunities. Recruiters at previous events have included Lubrizol Ltd, CERN, L’Oreal, PwC, P&G, Coty, Unilever, and Aon.

You’ll also have access to the University’s Careers Centre, which is one of the largest in the country. Plus, you’ll be able to attend the Autumn Graduate Jobs and Internships Fair.

Your personal tutor, who you’ll meet with regularly, will be involved with guiding your academic and personal development. Your personal tutor will encourage you to keep a personal and active record of all you have done and achieved. This will help you complete application forms and prepare for interviews.
