Subject pathways within the Natural Sciences degree (2025/26)

Studying natural sciences at Leeds gives you the opportunity to branch out across scientific disciplines, learning the fundamental concepts of each, whilst tailoring the course to the areas that interest you the most. You’ll also be taught by expert academics, with the unique opportunity to get involved in active, real-world research happening across the University.

Our Natural Sciences degrees are extremely flexible, allowing you to choose your favourite subjects and tailor the course to suit your career aspirations.  

We offer a series of subject pathways. You can choose a combination of three subjects in year 1, then focus your learning onto two of the three subjects you studied in year 1 for the remaining years of study.
