Bursaries
If you are an RSC member and a PhD student or early career researcher based at a higher education or research Institution you are eligible to apply for a Researcher Development grant.
This grant can provide up to £500 towards activities that will develop your skills and experience as a researcher, which includes participation at conferences.
Your activity must start at least 2 months from the end of your month of application. For example, applications made in March can only be for activities starting 1 June or later.
Applications are processed monthly, with the deadline for each round being the last day of the month. The RSC strongly recommend that you submit your application as soon as you can, ideally at least 12 weeks before the start of your activity, particularly if you need a grant decision before booking travel.
See the Researcher Development Grants page on the RSC's website for further details.
As a PhD student or postdoc you can easily join the RSC as an associate member (AMSRC) and reduced subscription rates are available - see the AMSRC page on the RSC's website for further details.
