How to apply
Once you’ve applied for your Masters course, you will need to complete the scholarships application form.
Application deadline
- for applicants domiciled in mainland China, the deadline is Friday 28 February 5pm UK time. You will receive an email with the outcome of your application by Friday 28 March 2025.
- for all other applicants, the deadline is Friday 16 May 5pm UK time. You will be notified of the outcome of your application by Friday 13 June 2025.
- if you are selected for the scholarship, you will need to accept the award within the timeframe stated in your scholarship letter.
How are the scholarships awarded?
Scholarships will be awarded to high achieving and particularly deserving applicants. This is a competitive process and not all applications will be successful. The scholarship will take the form of a tuition fee deduction.
Conditions
To be considered for the scholarship you must:
- be classified as an international student for tuition fee purposes
- have applied for 2025/26 entry for an eligible taught Masters course. You do not need to have received an offer of study before applying for the scholarship
- be self-funding or partially funded
- demonstrate an excellent academic track record, and be predicted to achieve or have achieved at least a bachelor's degree with a First, based on the criteria used by the school for offer purposes, or equivalent
- show excellent professional and personal skills evidenced through work experience and/or extracurricular activities.
*Please note: If you are applying to study Energy and Environmental Engineering MSc, Materials Science and Engineering MSc, or Chemistry MSc, you are eligible to apply for this scholarship if you are predicted or have achieved at least a bachelor’s degree with a 2.1, based on the criteria used by the school for offer purposes, or equivalent.
