Our active research environment enables us to offer a range of exciting courses taught by experts who are leaders in their fields. You’ll be directly engaged in research through substantial individual and team-based project, and will benefit from accessing our specialist facilities.
We also contribute to the online Engineering Management MSc / PGCert, accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), and the Joint European Master in Tribology of Surfaces and Interfaces.

Xueer chose to undertake a Masters in Advanced Mechanical Engineering after completing her bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, both here at the University of Leeds.
Her studies developed her knowledge and skills, including practical skills, which then led her to complete research in biological and medical engineering.

Monish chose to study a Masters here at Leeds as the course offered him flexibility in modules, allowing him to speicalise in the field he was interested in.

After completing her undergraduate degree here at the University of Leeds, Natalie chose to apply for a Masters course at Leeds too.
Due to our strong links with industry, she was able to visit hospitals in order to develop knowledge and skills within medical engineering. Inspired by these visits, she chose to focus on ankle replacements in her thesis.

Following completing his Masters in Advanced Mechanical Engineering, Ahmed was approached by Bentley Motors and now works in computer-aided engineering (CAE), which leads the vehicle design process to reduce weight, design cost and development time.
Before his studies Ahmed worked in the car industry but wanted a course that would help him fill any gaps in his knowledge and optional modules allowed him to tailor his studies to his interest, automotive engineering.
