International Masters Excellence Scholarships

- Summary: Our International Excellence Scholarships support international students to fulfil their academic potential and contribute to the social and cultural diversity of our student community.
- Value - what money is on offer: 25% and 50% fee reduction scholarships are available for international students commencing studies in 2025.
- Deadline: The application deadline is 16 May. You will receive an email with the outcome of your application by Friday 13 June 2025. You will need to respond to say whether or not you wish to accept the scholarship by Friday 27 June 2025.
How to apply
The application form will be available in October 2024. Please note you will require your University of Leeds Application ID to proceed.
How are the scholarships awarded?
Scholarships will be awarded to high achieving and particularly deserving applicants. This is a competitive process and not all applications will be successful.
The scholarship will take the form of a tuition fee deduction.
Conditions
To be considered for the scholarship you must:
- be self-funding or partially funded
- be classified as an international student for tuition fee purposes
- have applied for 2025/26 entry for a Masters programme included in the eligible courses section
- demonstrate an excellent academic track record, and be predicted to achieve or have achieved at least a bachelor's degree with a First, based on the criteria used by the school for offer purposes, or equivalent
- show excellent professional and personal skills evidenced through work experience and/or extracurricular activities.
*Please note: If you are applying to study Energy and Environment MSc, Materials Science and Engineering MSc, or Chemistry MSc, you are eligible for this scholarship if you are predicted or have achieved at least a bachelor’s degree with a 2.1, based on the criteria used by the school for offer purposes, or equivalent.
