Profile
I am a Lecturer in Engineering Management at the School of Civil Engineering, University of Leeds, and Programme Leader for the MSc Engineering Management. Previously, I was a Professional Teaching Fellow and Director of the Master of Engineering Project Management at the University of Auckland (2020–2022). I completed my PhD in Construction Management at the University of Auckland in July 2020.
Before academia, I worked in the industry in roles spanning structural design, quantity surveying, building services coordination, and project management. I was involved in different types of engineering projects, such as infrastructure, residential, industrial, and hospitality.
I am a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Risk Management Professional (RMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI), and a Chartered Manager with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

I focus on advancing digitalisation and sustainability in engineering projects through systems thinking and practical innovation. My research aims to improve project delivery by integrating advanced technologies with socio-technical approaches. Key areas include:

Conceptualising Digital Twins as socio-technical systems and applying them for production planning and control. -
Operational Research and Systems Thinking
Developing frameworks to capture the complexity of construction systems and support decision-making through computer simulation. -
Lean Construction and Waste Minimisation
Investigating strategies to reduce production and environmental waste, enhancing efficiency and sustainability. -
Engineering Education and Serious Games
Designing interactive learning tools to develop future engineers and improve engagement in online learning environments.
