In this talk, I will give a short presentation about what I am working on during my stay here in Leeds as a guest PhD student. Together with Richard Mann, we are studying the dynamics of social systems using Gaussian processes. The goal is to be able to investigate the impact of selected variables on the dynamics of the system while accounting for other variables, with a focus on interpretability. I will give some examples, using data on Sweden, to show our modeling approach and how it can be used.
