A joint Masters degree from two leading institutions – now in Dubai

We’re excited to announce our newest partnership with The British University in Dubai (BUiD) – a leader for 20 years in postgraduate education in the UAE.

Masters degree in Project Management

Fusing together the global reputation in education here at Leeds with the academic expertise at BUiD, we’ve launched a Joint MSc in Project Management, setting a new benchmark for academic and professional excellence in the region. 

The programme has been co-developed and will be co-delivered by academics from the Faculty of Business and Law at the BUiD, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and from our very own experts in our School of Civil Engineering. The course will also be co-delivered by the Leeds Centre for Projects – a globally leading centre of excellence advancing the knowledge in project management research through engagement with industry, government and third sector organisations. This will provide a truly integrated academic journey and joint academic award.  

The programme is fully accredited by the UAE’s Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) and the PMI Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs (GAC), reinforcing its global standards and professional credibility. 

Starting in September 2026, this programme will be open to students from a variety of professional backgrounds. 

We are really looking forward to welcoming new students onto our joint MSc in Project Management course. This new programme will enable students to benefit from teaching from both the University of Leeds and the British University in Dubai through this unique collaboration, within the UAE. It has been a true team effort, and I am very grateful to all the colleagues and partners who have contributed their energy and expertise to bring this project to life.
