Architecture professor honoured with Advance HE Senior Fellowship

Professor Gehan Selim, the Hoffman Wood Chair of Architecture at the School of Civil Engineering, has been awarded the prestigious Senior Fellowship of Advance HE.

The accolade recognises her outstanding contributions to teaching, learning, and leadership in higher education, as well as her commitment to fostering academic excellence.

Professor Selim applied for her Senior Fellowship through the University's Professional Recognition in Student Education (PRiSE) scheme, which enabled her to access a wide range of support, including workshops, resources, and one-to-one mentoring.

The Senior Fellowship is granted to individuals who demonstrate a sustained impact on higher education, including mentoring colleagues, enhancing student learning experiences, and promoting innovative teaching practices. The award highlights Professor Selim’s dedication to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment, as well as her ability to inspire both students and colleagues.
