Help shape the future as a lecturer with the School of Chemistry
The School of Chemistry is looking for four lecturers to help us in our mission to deliver a sustainable future through innovative research and teaching.
The University of Leeds has remained at the forefront of research and education in Chemistry, and we are committed to delivering meaningful, impactful research and distinctive education programmes that align with the most pressing issues facing global society.
To help us achieve this, we are recruiting four new members of academic staff who will lead research programmes aligned with these challenges, while working with renowned interdisciplinary institutions such as the Bragg Centre for Materials Research, Henry Royce Institute, Astbury Centre for Structural Molecular Biology, Priestley Centre for Climate Futures, and Institute of Process Research and Development.
Along the way, the four chosen candidates will continue to create the next generation of groundbreaking scientists and engineers by teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate education programmes focused on chemistry and its role in combatting some of the greatest environmental challenges in history – and realising a sustainable and healthy future for all.

- Lecturer in Chemistry of a Changing Atmosphere (Teaching & Research)
- Lecturer in Chemical Biology of Dynamic Disease Mechanisms (Teaching & Research)
- Lecturer in Digital Chemistry for Sustainability (Teaching & Research)
Each new lecturer at Leeds will be supported through provision of a dedicated start-up package, access to our state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, and engaged mentorship, in a collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment that encourages creativity and exploration.
