Two School of Computing students announced as award finalists
Two Computer Science (Digital & Technology Solutions) BSc students have been shortlisted for prestigious industry awards.
Ranjodh Bains has been nominated for the Apprentice of the Year award, at the Management Consultancies Association Awards 2023, and Salome Tirado Okeze has been nominated for Digital & Technology Apprentice of the Year, at the Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards 2023.

Salome Tirado Okeze has been shortlisted in the Digital & Technology category of this year’s Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards.
The Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards aims to showcase talent within multicultural communities through the celebration of those working hard to achieve their goals through apprenticeships.
The awards highlight the achievements of apprentices and the contribution of employers and learning providers who have assisted them along their journey.

Ranjodh’s strong performance has already been recognised by the Department for Education, as he won the Degree Apprentice of the Year 2022 Award for Yorkshire and the Humber at the National Apprenticeship Awards.
Ranjodh regularly supports, mentors, and trains people. He has a true passion for coding and adding value to businesses. He recognises he has just begun his consulting journey, but can’t wait to see what learning, development and successes the next few years will bring.
