Top 100 in the world for engineering and technology

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2017 has placed the University of Leeds in the top 100 in the world for engineering and technology and 8th in the UK.

The annual World University Rankings judge world class universities across a number of core missions including teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.

The continuous dedication and investigate made in the areas of engineering and technology; along with the excellence of teaching and the industry-leading research, has contributed to the university’s prestigious ranking for the second consecutive year.

The University of Leeds scored highly in the 'International Outlook' category with a score of 82.1. This achievement is a testament to our enduring commitment to a welcoming, inclusive and diverse learning environment and our determination to attract and welcome talent from across the world. With over 30,000 students – 5,000 of them international, from more than 100 countries – the university prides itself on being a multicultural and international institution.
