2015 QS World University Rankings by Subject

The University of Leeds has achieved excellent positions in all five engineering subjects listed in the fifth edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject which evaluated 3,551 universities

Published annually since 2011, the QS World University Rankings by Subject ranks the world’s leading institutions in individual subject areas, covering 36 disciplines. The results of which are based on global surveys of academics, graduate employers, as well as research power.

This year's edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject sees five engineering disciplines featured: Civil and Structural Engineering; Chemical Engineering; Mechanical, Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering; Computer Science and Information Systems.

The University of Leeds engineering subjects are ranked as follows in these five categories:

  • Civil and Structural Engineering: Top 100
  • Chemical Engineering: Top 100
  • Mechanical, Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering: Top 100
  • Electronic and Electrical Engineering: Top 250
  • Computer Science and Information Systems: Top 300
