Leeds Professor becomes EPSRC RISE fellow
Professor Anne Neville, from the School of Mechanical Engineering, has become an EPSRC RISE Renowned Fellow
RISE - Recognising Inspirational Scientists and Engineers - is a campaign in partnership with the Royal Academy of Engineering and was launched by the Science Minister, David Willetts in November 2013 to mark the 20th anniversary of EPSRC.
Professor Neville, also a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, will now attend a dinner at the Cheltenham Science Festival, hosted by the incoming CEO of EPSRC, Professor Philip Nelson.
The RISE fellows were announced at the same time that the EPSRC announced the ten RISE Leaders for 2014.
Professor Neville plays a big role in the School of Mechanical Engineering, she is a Professor of Tribology and Surface Engineering, Deputy Head of School and Director of the Institute of Functional Surfaces.
