Excellent results for Engineering in the latest university league tables
The Faculty of Engineering has scored highly in the 2015 release of the Guardian university league tables and Complete University Guide.
Both Chemical and Mechanical Engineering at Leeds are now ranked in the top 5 in all of the major UK league tables and Electronic and Electrical Engineering is ranked in the top 10.
Chemical Engineering at Leeds has confirmed its reputation as one of the best departments in the UK with its ranking of 4th in the Guardian league table and 5th in the Complete University Guide. These results accompany the 3rd position it already holds in the 2014 Good University Guide.
Mechanical Engineering now holds 5th place in the Guardian and Complete University Guide as well as the 4th position in the 2014 Good University Guide. 95% of students are satisfied with the teaching on our mechanical engineering courses according to the Guardian, the highest of any university in the table. A similar trend is seen in the Complete University Guide, where Leeds scores second highest in the UK for student satisfaction. The Complete University guide also confirms Leeds' strength in research and its excellent graduate prospects.
Electronic and Electrical Engineering is ranked number 7 in the Guardian and 8 in the Complete University Guide. Its 7th position in the 2014 Good University guide means it is ranked in the top 10 of all of the major UK league tables. 93% of students studying at Leeds were satisfied with the course according to the Guardian league table and the Complete University Guide ranked the school very highly for both the quality of its research and the employability of its graduates.
