Why did you decide to study a masters at the University of Leeds?

There are multiple reasons for my decision on studying at the University of Leeds.  Quite important for my choice was the reputation of the school, topping the engineering rankings consistently, and especially in Electrical Engineering.  Moreover, dedicated school for Electrical engineering was important, and more generally the city of Leeds is the perfect to live as a student.

What has been the best aspect of studying on your course and at the University so far and why?

The best aspect of studying at the University was something quite unexpected. You expect great lecturers and great lectures from such a school. Since it is such a prestigious university, it attracts great minds as students. I believe I got the most out of the course, due to the interaction I had with such excellent students. Since the modules were really tough, having support from other students was essential.

Tell us about some of the exciting projects you have completed.

I completed a plethora of exciting projects.  Some examples are: researching about extracting power from space and transporting to earth, PI controllers combined with power converters, modelling of induction motors, PV panel measurements and modelling, research about battery implementation with PV systems and many others.

Why did you decide to study a masters at the University of Leeds?

The perfect environment for a student.  A very big market with so many stores, you can literally find everything in the city centre, and there is no need to travel by car, you can really do anything via walking.  It is a very diverse city, and it is connected with any place within UK, you can be in any city in a matter of hours.

What are your ambitions for the future?

My ambition for the future would is to be an entrepreneur, combining the knowledge I acquired as an engineer with business.  It would be my great pleasure if I could build and sustain an engineering company which would dedicate in renewable energy generation, and enable fully sustainable houses.

What experiences at Leeds do you think will help you in your future career?

In general, I believe that engineering provides a great understanding of how the world works, and enables the engineer to foresee problems that others don’t. Group work is an important skill that is being developed by working with other people.
Moreover, the difficulty of such a degree contribute to a learning process for patience, endurance, perseverance and determination.

What would you say to students coming to do the same course?
