Dr Lotfi Mhamdi

Digital communication networks are becoming central to all aspects of human activities both in daily social life as well as professionally. The fast growth and dynamic nature of the field of communication networks mandates continuous academic and professional developments.

This Masters programme is designed to prepare future experts in the field of digital communication networks. Alongside the theoretical foundations in digital communications, the focus of this programme is on new advances in networking and mobile Internet architectures. Students will learn traditional communication theory, but will also gain technical expertise in new fields such as future Internet architectures, cloud networks, mobile applications development and network security. Student projects are an important feature of this programme, as they give students first-hand experience with real-world applications.

All our modules are taught by professors who are world experts in their fields and working on cutting-edge technology. As Programme Manager and a Lecturer on this MSc, I particularly enjoy the module I teach as it overlaps directly with my area of research, such as future Internet infrastructures and data centre network design. My research has greatly inspired my teaching in this area.
