- Thesis title: Temperature-water-plant-soil coupled modelling for biogeotechnics
- Supervisors: Dr Xiaohui Chen, Dr Ana Heitor
Profile
I am a first-year PhD student at the University of Leeds. I am supervised by Dr. Chen and Dr. Ana, and my current research focuses on the mixture coupling theory within the field of geotechnical modelling.
I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering in 2021 from Southwest Jiaotong University, a joint program with the University of Leeds, followed by a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Leeds in 2022. During my Master’s program, I developed a keen interest in Dr. Chen's research area and completed my thesis under Dr. Chen's guidance. This research interest led me to pursue a PhD in the same direction.
I continue my research in Dr. Chen's group, exploring mixture coupling theory with a novel approach of integrating biological aspects into the modelling.
Qualifications
- MSc, Geotechnical Engineering, University of Leeds (2022)
