Cleanroom Behaviour and Comportment for Aseptic Services

About the course

The Cleanroom Behaviour and Comportment for Aseptic Services course has been developed by NHS TSET (the Technical Specialist Education and Training group) and is facilitated by the University of Leeds.

A one day course covering:

  • the risks of poor cleanroom practice

  • getting into a cleanroom

  • cleanroom behaviour

  • organising the critical work zone

  • understanding human behaviours

  • detecting problems and investigations (supervisor skills)

Who should attend?

This course will be of particular benefit if you are:

  • involved with managing the cleanroom area/cleanroom supervisor

  • a releasing pharmacist

  • a senior technical member of staff

  • a team leader

  • an investigator or quality assurance personnel

 The course is suitable for both licensed and unlicensed units.


This course will be delivered via a mix of presentations, interative sessions and workshops.

Registration: 8.45am – 9.15am

  • Welcome and introduction – setting the scene

  • The risks

  • Workshop: Identifying good and bad points

  • Workshop: The Key Issues – contamination control

  • Getting into a cleanroom – best practice, suitable practice and bad practice

  • Cleanroom behaviour – comportment and using a cleanroom

  • Organising the critical work zone

  • Workshop – what does good practice look like?

  • Understanding human behaviours

  • Detecting problems and investigation

Course ends: 4.30pm – please plan your travel to attend the full course.
