Live Online Delivery 

Delegates will be together in our virtual training room and speakers will deliver their presentations live to include interactive elements. We may ask delegates to have their cameras on for some of the sessions to engage with discussion.

Please note, recordings will not be provided to delegates. Virtual attendance at each two hour online session (6.30pm – 8.30pm GMT/BST) is the delivery mode for this course.

About the course
This course is designed to improve your understanding of contracts, covering contractual conditions, their legal framework and the management procedures you need to successfully complete projects. It follows the Institution of Civil Engineers syllabus and will prepare you for the ICE Law and Contract Management examinations in June 2025.

If you’re wishing to take the exams you will be able to do so at an additional charge to be confirmed and registration and payment will be direct with the ICE. Please note any examination queries, bookings and payments (for ICE exams) should be made directly with the ICE contractsanddisputes@ice.org.uk

The live online presentations take place on Monday evenings 6.30pm – 8.30pm GMT/BST and the course extends to the end of June with breaks at Christmas, Easter, May and the Spring Bank holidays. We also offer revision evenings for those taking the ICE exams at the end of the course.

Who should attend?

This course is a must if you are looking to gain an in-depth understanding of Law and Contact Management (NEC4). This course is beneficial for you if your role within projects requires you to become more involved in contractual issues. This can be in various capacities ranging from civil engineers to consultants and project managers to authorities to name a few. 

The course follows the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)’s syllabus and is suitable if you’re looking to sit the ICE Law and Contracts examinations in June 2025.

Course fee: £990

Fees are VAT exempt

The ICE examinations are an additional charge payable directly to the ICE.

Terms and conditions of booking
Payment by debit/credit card should be made at the time of booking via the Online Store. If for exceptional reasons you are unable to book and pay online a purchase order document will be required to support a manual booking process.  Our standard payment terms are 30 days from date of invoice however payment must be made prior to the start of the course. Participation may be refused if payment has not been received.

Changes made by the University of Leeds
The course programme may have to be re-scheduled or the speakers changed for reasons outside our control. The University of Leeds reserves the right to cancel or postpone a course, in which case fees will be refunded in full. 

Where a delegate cancels a registration 
For cancellations made within seven days of booking: a full refund is payable unless the course starts within the next seven days, in which case the full fee is payable and no refunds will be made.

For cancellations made after seven days of booking: written cancellations received up to 15 working days before the course will be subject to an administrative charge of 20% of the total fee. Within 15 working days of the course the full fee is payable and no refunds will be made.

For non-attendance: the full fee is payable and no refunds will be made.
