Alexander Carey

Profile

In 2025 I received my Bachelors degree in Mathematics from the University of Leeds with a year of industry experience as a Software Engineer. I joined the Fluids Dynamics team at the university as a PhD student starting in September 2025.

Research interests

I am interested in applying mathematical analysis and development in an array of fields including:

• Prediction and optimisation under data sparse conditions
• Mathematical and computational hydrological modelling
• Mathematical approaches to risk assessment and forecasting
