Dr Jimenez-Cruz holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Biomechanics) and BSc in Mechanical Engineering. His areas of interest are design, experimental simulation and computational modelling of joints and medical implants. Dr Jimenez-Cruz has been working in collaboration with private and public heath institutions in the UK and Mexico to develop computational models and experimental procedures to improve the outcomes of different surgical procedures.

Research interests

His current research focuses on the performance of an anatomical hip simulator that will allow  a better understanding of the biomechanics of the joint.

Other areas of interest

Design, mechanics, experimental and computational simulations of healthy and pathology conditions on joints, and medical implants.
