Izat Fatima

Profile

I obtained my Bachalor’s degree in Electronics and Communication from University of Kashmir and completed MSc Medical Engineering from University of Leeds. I joined PhD within the Insitute of Medical and Biological Engineering at University of Leeds in 2019. Currently I’m doing a multidisciplinary research on heart valves that involves cardiovascular simulation, tissue engineering and biomechanics. Specifically, I aim to advance the real-time durability and fatigue pre-clinical assessment method and apply it to novel biological scaffolds for aortic and pulmonary valves. The application of the method that will be advanced in this work will predict the pre-clinical functional performance of biological scaffolds currently being developed.
