I obtained my Bachelors of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southampton in 2018. Shortly afterwards, I began an integrated MSc and PhD within the CDT for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (CDT TERM-iMBE), at the Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering (iMBE). My PhD is titled ‘Dual Mobility Hip Replacements,’ which focuses on investigating the predominant failure modes of dual mobility hip replacements through a combination of explant analysis and experimental testing. This work also involves the development of characterisation and in vitro testing methodologies which are suitable for the novel geometry and function of these bearings.
