- Thesis title: Tape casting of Lead-free multilayer structured ceramics with high piezoelectric strain
- Supervisors: Dr Man Zhang, Professor Robert Kay, M Jabbaribehnam
Profile
I am currently working on lead-free multilayer structured ceramics with high piezoelectric strain, after I achieved the highest 1st class-honours grade in my cohort at Queen Mary University of London while studying BEng Materials Science and Engineering.
In the past I have worked with Dr Maria Crespo-Ribadenyra and The Tyre Collective, a startup, to upcycle tyre wear (a pollutant) into battery components and piezoelectric material. This work was on display at the Material Matters fair during London Fashion Week 2024.
As part of my undergraduatte degree, I also had the chance to study at the University of Toronto where I learned a range of different subjects from those relating to matreials and engineering as well as broadening my horizons by learning about Accounting, Finance and Coptic Archeology.
Research interests
I am currently researching piezoelectric and ferroelectric materials, with a key emphasis on those which are lead-free.
