- Supervisors: Dr Man Zhang, Professor Robert Kay, M Jabbaribehnam
Profile
I am curently working on lead-free multilayer structured ceramics with high piezoelectric strain, after I acheived the highest 1st class-honours grade in my cohort at Queen Mary University of London while studying BEng Materials Science and Engineering.
In the past I have worked with Dr Maria Crespo-Ribadenyra and The Tyre Collective, a startup, to upcycle tyre wear (a polutant) into battery components and [iezo eectric material. This work was on display at the Material Matters fair during London Fashion Week 2024.
As part of my undergraduatte degree, I also had the chance to study at the University of Toronto where I learned a range of different subjects from those relating to matreials and engineering aswell as broadening my horizons by learning about Accounting, Finance and Coptic Archeology.
Research interests
I am currently researching piezoelectric and ferroelectric materials, with a key emphasis on those which are lead-free.
