Engineering and Physical Sciences Employability Team named as finalist in NUE awards
The Engineering and Physical Sciences Employability Team have been named one of the Best Employability Services in the country at the National Undergraduate Employability (NUE) Awards 2019.
The team were finalists in a category which awards services that go above and beyond, providing the best provision for students in their university, helping them to apply and maximise their work experience opportunities. To be recognised as one of top five employability services in the UK is reflective of the success the team have had over the past five year, winning three NUE awards to date, more recently being awarded the Best University Placement Service award in 2018.
HSBC, who sponsor the award, acknowledged “the hard work and continued support from the careers services HSBC works with in helping us attract and hire the UK’s top talent in to our global programmes”.
The night celebrated the outstanding achievements of employers, universities and students in the field of undergraduate work experience and saw 500 people come together to raise a glass to the industry’s finest. The audience was treated to an afternoon of inspiring speakers including athlete and national treasure Col. Dame Kelly Holmes (DBE), Stephen Isherwood (ISE), Robyn Howard (PwC) and, for the first time, a student panel discussion with four students from across the UK.
