Leeds students present their research at the National Natural Sciences Student Conference

Three final year MNatSc, BSc Natural Sciences students attended the Second National Natural Sciences Student Conference at Lancaster University on 27 and 28 March 2018.

The two day meeting brings together Natural Sciences students from across the country to network and present their research projects in a vibrant multidisciplinary environment.

The University of Leeds’ contributions highlighted the diversity of our programme with interdisciplinary research spanning computational biology, chemistry and applied mathematics.

Scott Wiseman presented a talk and a poster on his project “Low Temperature Combustion Kinetics of Ethers”. Isabel Birds presented a poster on her work on “Long non-coding RNA in Drosophilia melanogaster”.

Congratulations to Jennifer Castelino, who was awarded third prize for her presentation on her research into “Weakly Nonlinear Theory for Convective Flows”.
