Profile
I am a Lecturer in Statistics within the School pf Mathematics at the University of Leeds. I lead module delivery on the University’s fully online MSc Data Science (Statistics), a collaborative programme between the School of Mathematics and the Digital Education. My research and pedagogical interests explore how student-staff partnerships can shape more transparent and inclusive learning experiences, with a particular emphasis on revealing the hidden curriculum in fuly online education.
Research interests
My research interests centre on classification analysis, with a particular focus on optimal classification methods for mixed and complex data types. Alongside my methodological work, I have a strong commitment to student education. I am especially interested in student–staff partnerships that enhance the learning experience for fully online learners, with an emphasis on co‑creating equitable and effective assessment practices.
My current research explores how students can meaningfully contribute to the co‑creation of learning materials, including assessment‑related resources, instructional videos, and laboratory activities. I am also actively investigating ways to strengthen student engagement within fully online programmes such as the MSc Data Science (Statistics).

Student education
I am engaged in the design, delivery, assessment, and overall academic management of modules within the fully online MSc Data Science (Statistics) programme. In this role, I contribute to shaping a high‑quality distance‑learning experience that supports diverse learners and promotes effective online pedagogy.
