Profile
My name is Hassan Izanloo, and I am an international graduate student from Cardiff University. I did both my undergraduate and master’s degrees in Pure Mathematics in Iran, before spending time in a research position and then 3 years as a lecturer (and module leader) in mathematics at Parand Islamic Azad University in Tehran. I successfully accomplished my PhD in August 2019 under the supervision of Professor Roger Behrend. I worked at the school of mathematics at the university of Bristol as teaching associate in statistical sciences from October 2019 until June 20223. I joined the university of Leeds in October 2023 as a lecturer in Statistics (teaching and scholarship).

Research interests
My research interests lie in enumerative combinatorics including alternating sign matrices, polytopes, partially ordered sets and graphs. I am also interested in the applications of these areas in Machine learning and data science.
