Dr Li X Zhang


Dr. Li Zhang is an associate professor in communications at the school of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, University of Leeds. Before joining Leeds University in 2004, she was a Postdoctoral research fellow in the Communication Research Group at the University of York from Mar. 2003 to Mar. 2004. From Apr. 2004 to Aug. 2004, she was a research engineer in ECIT, Queen’s University, Belfast. She did her PhD in Communications at the University of York from 2000 to 2003. Her current research interest is focused on wireless communications and signal processing techniques, including massive MIMO, spatial modulation, mmWave commuications, Heterogeneous Network, D2D communications, UAV networks and 5G systems etc. She has been a reviewer of major IEEE journals and conferences and has served on the Technical Programme Committees of most major IEEE conferences in communications since 2006. She has been selected as a member of the prestigious EPSRC (the UK's main agency for funding research in engineering and the physical sciences) Peer Review College since 2006 and served as EPSRC panel member. In 2005, she received a Nuffield award for a newly appointed lecturer. In 2011, she was awarded as IEEE exemplary reviewer and in 2012 she was promoted as senior IEEE member.
