Profile
I am a Postgraduate Researcher in Power Systems at the University of Leeds. My research focuses on frequency protection and control in systems with high penetration of renewable energy sources.
I received my Tech, BEng, and MSc degrees all in Electrical Engineering from Instituto Politecnico Nacional, Mexico City, Mexico in 2007, 2012, and 2015, respectively.
From 2015 to 2019, I worked as an Engineer Supervisor at Centro Nacional de Control de Energía (CENACE), the Independent System Operator (ISO) of Mexico. I was in charge of overseeing the real-time security applications such as contingency analysis, dispatcher load flow, state estimator, operative reserves, as well as giving support to real-time operators. In addition, I also provided the network model for the day-ahead market (DAM) and real-time market (RTM).
