Eleanor Nuttall

Profile

After graduating in 2018 with a first class degree in Chemistry. I begun my PhD in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering within the Pollard insitute under the supervision of Dr. Alex Valavanis. I am now in my second year of my PhD researching THz spectroscopy.

Research interests

The focus of my PhD is to develop a highly sensitivity spectrometer with the ability to measure gas-phase molecules and reactions in the terahertz region, with a particular focus on climate change phenomena. To do so will require incorporating cavity enhanced techniques to detect trace-gases.

Qualifications

  • First class BSc in Science and MChem.
