Charles DeLorey

I am a first year PhD student (PGR) in the STORM Lab in the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.

Prior to the PhD, I completed the Master's in Research (MRes) in Medical Robotics at The Hamlyn Centre at Imperial College London, London, UK. I completed my BSc in Computer Science at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, USA.

My personal website can be found here.

Research interests

Presently, my research is into applying ML methods to robot tactile grasping data to recognize and predict material slip.

More broadly, my research interests include: medical robotics, soft robotics, soft sensing, wearables, controls, machine learning (ML), reinforcement learning (RL), human-machine interaction (HMI), and programming language theory.
