Profile

Shiyun began studying battery modelling in 2021 during his Master's in Leeds, where he learned to use advanced optical fibres to monitor the temperature of lithium-ion batteries. He now specialises in data mining and predictive analytics for state estimation and management of lithium- and sodium-ion battery packs, leveraging optical fibre sensor technology.
