My research focuses on developing and applying compliant and flexible continuum actuators. These use pneumatic and mechanical actuation methods to allow for improved devices for irregular object and human interaction and robotic locomotion. It considers the fabrication, modelling and evaluation of these actuators to produce versatile, low-cost solutions to challenges within healthcare and exploration.
