Profile

I hold two PhD degrees: a PhD in Telecommunications and a PhD in Control Systems. I am engaged in research on distributed ML/AI for 6G intelligent communication networks.

I have served as a lecturer and laboratory director and as a reviewer for several journals, including IEEE Internet of Things Magazine, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies, and Wireless Networks, as well as conferences such as IEEE ICC, WCNC, and Meditcom. I have authored or co-authored three books and more than 20 peer-reviewed papers, and have been a finalist in the Three-Minute Thesis Competition and a recipient of the Marco Polo Grant.

Research interests

My research interests include distributed machine learning (federated learning, split learning, and reinforcement learning), cloud/edge computing, vehicular networks, intelligent transport systems, and B5G/6G integrated terrestrial/non-terrestrial networks.
