Dr Yongxing Wang

My scientific background lies within Applied Mathematics and Computational Engineering, and I have extensive modelling and simulation experiences in both academia and industry, and teaching experiences in Calculus, Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics, and Finite Element Analysis. I have been working in a range of subjects including fluid-structure interaction, optimal control for fluid dynamical systems, Gaussian process for machine learning, and surrogate optimisation.

Research interests

My general research area is Scientific Computation, and I am particularly interested in design, implementation and application of numerical methods for the solution of partial differential equations from fluid and solid mechanics.
