Profile

I’m a Lecturer at King Abdulaziz Unviersity and a PhD student at University of Leeds. I obtained my Masters and Bachelors in Information Technology from Queensland University of Technology.

Research interests

My research is in Semantic Similarity in Arabic texts, particularly The Holy Quran, using Transformers based models. As there are many pre-trained models specific for Arabic, analysing the performances is required to unveil the best possible scenarios. That will results in many experiments which deal with models and hypermeter tuning. Also, there are not many datasets for Quranic semantic similarity; therefore, datasets will be developed that will incorporate different Tafsirs.
