Profile

I studied French and Hispanic Studies at the University of Liverpool and hold an MA in Art History from the University of Buckingham. I also work part-time in the financial sector as an NLP developer, where I apply machine learning and computational language modelling techniques to unstructured industry data.

My current research at the University of Leeds focuses on the language of the early 20th-century German art market, particularly in auction catalogues from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland between 1900 and 1945. I use computational methods to analyse how language in these sources reflects historical, ideological, and cultural shifts.

Research interests

My research interests include the application of the latest computational language modelling techniques to the stylistic analysis of specialist language systems in the humanities. I am also interested in developing transparent and interpretable evaluation methodologies for NLP tasks in the humanities to support interdisciplinary research.
