Profile

I am a Research Fellow in the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Leeds. I work with Professor Theodore Hanein on the project “Developing iron-rich cement clinker & understanding ferrite for the valorisation & upcycling of steel slags (FeRICH)”. I focus on the carbonation of magnesium-based cement and nano-engineered magnesium-based cement. My current work is to develop novel sustainable processes and binders as well as re-establish and advance currently unappreciated binders of the past, for the technical as well as economic improvement of MgO-based cements and associated supply chains.
