Profile
I am a Research Fellow at the School of Civil Engineering, University of Leeds, working with Prof. Theodore Hanein on the Future Leaders Fellowship project, “Green, Circular, and Smart Cement Manufacture.” My research project focuses on synthesizing and developing calcium sulfoaluminate (CSA)-based binders using locally available materials in the UK.
I hold a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), under the supervision of Dr. Piyush Chaunsali. My doctoral thesis, titled “Composition-property relationships in calcium sulfoaluminate binders,” explored the hydration characteristics of CSA binders and the influence of various clinker phases on their mechanical and durability properties. I also completed my M. Tech in Civil Engineering at IITM, specializing in Construction Technology and Management, with a research project titled ‘The stress-strain characteristics of high-strength concrete’ under the supervision of Prof. Ravindra Gettu. I received my B. Tech. degree from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NITT), India, in Civil Engineering.
