Dr Srimali Preethika

Profile

I graduated from the Department of Chemical & Process Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 2015 and joined the same department as a Temporary Instructor. In 2017, I started my postgraduate studies at Department of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering, New Mexico State University, USA and successfully obtained the Doctor of Philosophy in 2020. After completion, I joined the Department of Chemical & Process Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya as a Lecturer and served for two years.

Now I work as a Research Fellow at School of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, University of Leeds, UK specialised in circular economy and it’s applications in wind energy. My goal is to identify sustainable end of life management strategies for wind turbine blades and develop circular business models for wind energy generation with active stakeholder engagement.
