Profile
I am a Research Associate in the School of Civil Engineering with a focus on geopolymers technology for construction purposes. I am part of the research group of Prof. Susan Bernal Lopez, working on the formulation of geopolymeric materials from natural alumino-silicate precursors.
Prior to joinig the University of Leeds, I undertook PhD research at the University of Nottingham in the School of Chemistry. My PhD project focused on the synthesis of non-conventional geopolymers from natural heterogeneous materials for environmental applications.
Research interests
My research interests include:
- The use of natural and industrial materials in geopolymer synthesis.
- Characterization of the novel low-carbon cementitious materials.
- Surface and structural modification of geopolymers and minerals.
- Smart geopolymer composites for energy, construction, and environmental applications.
