Profile

I am doing interdisciplinary research involving architecture, history, and humanity in Architecture and Urbanism Research Group. My education background is based in engineering. I came to the UK for MSc in structural engineering after finishing undergraduate in civil engineering in China. Then I came to Leeds for the PhD study. My strong interests in architecture and heritage pushes me to conduct research in cultural heritage protection with innovative tools and methods.

Research interests

My research interests focus on smart heritage, sustainable cities and smart cities. The overall background of my research locates in Shanghai China. Platforms of comprehensive historic building conservation and operation are selected as case studies. It is anticipated to propose a novel terminology and its interpretation at the intersection of smart cities, architectural heritage, and heritage conservation and find characteristics, factors, and indicators among smartness in architectural heritage conservation.
