Profile

I have 13 years of experience in Malaysia’s construction industry, specialising in quantity surveying and project management. Throughout my career, I have worked with a range of industry stakeholders, including quantity surveying firms, project management consultants, client organisations, and project delivery partners. My project portfolio spans residential developments, high-rise buildings, and large-scale infrastructure projects. I was most recently involved in the Light Rail Transit Line 3 (LRT3) project, one of Malaysia’s major infrastructure megaprojects. During this time, I have witnessed a significant turning point when the project underwent a radical change in its procurement model. This experience sparked my interest in researching how such major changes are managed in megaprojects. I hold a Master’s degree in Project Management from University Technology Malaysia (UTM) and am currently pursuing my PhD, focusing on management of radical change in the context of infrastructure megaprojects.

Research interests

My research focuses on project management and change management within the context of megaprojects. I am particularly interested in how radical or large-scale changes are managed in complex infrastructure environments. My PhD research is underpinned by the ACMP Standard for Change Management (ACMP-SCM) and involves developing a context-specific framework to improve the management of radical change in megaproject delivery. Through this work, I aim to contribute practical strategies that help organisations become more adaptable, resilient, and better prepared to manage radical change in high-stakes project environments. The study also aims to benefit both industry practice and academic research in megaproject delivery and change management. I presented some of my research at the 39th Annual ARCOM Conference.
