Profile

I started my career as a project engineer (Electrical Engineering from UET Lahore) and moved to business development (Tele/Data Communications Networks), only to return to projects after several years of working in the industry. First as a project risk analyst for a sub-national government in Pakistan, and then as an academic at Leeds Beckett University, I have been teaching, learning and practicing management of large scale infrastructure projects. I have continuously worked on my professional development during my career and also improved my qualifications from time to time – first obtaining MBA from LUMS, Lahore and then MSc Engineering Project Management from the University of Manchester.

Presently, I am a Post-grad Researcher at the University of Leeds; a lecturer at Leeds Beckett University; and a visiting academic at the University of Manchester.

Research interests

I am doing research on fiscal sustainability of PPP projects in developing economies. The contours of my research are as blurred as one can imagine at the beginning of PhD.

I am devoted to learning the ropes – no matter how long it takes and how hard it gets.

The journey has just started ‘ … and miles to go before I sleep’ as Robert Frost would say.
